Enhancement Request: Man-Hours Visibility and Reporting in Efactory
Enhancement Proposal: Man-Hours Visibility in Efactory
Currently, Efactory allows users to view and export maintenance activity durations (clock hours) through reports such as Forecast, PM Forecast, and other operational queries. However, there is no visible or exportable field that represents the Man-Hours (MH) required to execute these activities.
Current Situation
When configuring preventive or corrective maintenance activities in Efactory, the system already captures the information needed to calculate Man-Hours:
Activity duration (clock hours)
Number of assigned technicians
Hours assigned to each technician
Although this data already exists within the system, it is not currently available for direct viewing or export.
Example:
PM Motor: 2 hours × 3 technicians = 6 MH
Conveyor PM: 4 hours × 2 technicians = 8 MH
Man-Hours = Σ (Hours assigned per technician)
Or, when all resources have the same assignment:
Man-Hours = Duration × Number of Technicians
Benefits
Capacity Planning: Compare future workload against actual resource availability.
Resource Balancing: Better distribute maintenance activities across weeks or production periods.
Labor Forecasting: Generate forecasts of maintenance Man-Hours requirements.
Headcount Justification: Support staffing needs with objective workload data.
Stronger KPIs: Track metrics such as Scheduled vs. Available MH, Preventive vs. Corrective MH, Resource Utilization, and Backlog in MH.
Corporate Standardization: Enable all sites to measure workload using a consistent methodology beyond activity duration alone.
Request:
It is proposed to enable the visibility and export of Man-Hours within Efactory reports and queries. Since the required information is already captured during activity setup, this enhancement would provide a more accurate view of resource demand and improve maintenance planning and decision-making.
