Parts have no description on Parts Need page.
It would be helpful to have a “description” in the Part Need screen so technicians can see what parts are already on order. If there are numerous parts on order, they will only see "New Part" or they will see part #'s and Mfg, but there are no descriptions of what the parts actually are. This gets confusing on jobs with numerous parts.

-allow techs to look up part not only by part # but by description for example if i need a bearing i cannot simply search *3/8 in id* as our supply chain specialist can i have to insert the P# EX: r6 2rs. this would be a huge time saver b/c currently i would need to read the description on each part bin tag in our inventory(currently over 200 different bearings and 3 locations)
thanks,

It would be kinda nice to be able to consume more than one part at a time.

This is being worked on in Work Item # 28441

when recieveing a part, add part number or description so we can make sure we are receiving the right part

when entering a "new part" on a workorder, there is no field to enter part description and it is hard for purchasing to make a part id for it without that info. So if a tech forgets or does not know to put part description in the notes area, then purchasing does not have a description of the part needed.

When using the stock screen in the client, and you are looking for a part number by description. Say you put *tape* on the search box hit the green tab and all the part numbers are brought up that have tape in their description. On the left side of the screen the gray box show you the p/n, place id, location, etc. what it doesn't show is the description of the part. Can the description be added to this box. it would make look ups so much easier.
