PM Cancelations regenerate
If you cancel a PM in either the Portal or Client. the system will autogenerate a new PM for the same frequency. Can we please fix this so when you cancel a PM it stays cancelled. This is creating a big problem in a Sites PM Backlog.

Yes, let's improve this process.

Yes, I agree anything to make the process simpler, and not redundant. We don't have time to keep redoing the same process. I Vote Yes to fixing the process.

Please make the process user friendly! The work around is nice BUT the action needs to be simplified.

I agree we need to have a better system for cancelling a PM that was missed and a new PM being generated. With some factories holding us back from doing PM on some machines at times this causes a backlog of PMs. Now Machine "A" Has 3 weeks of passed due PMs and now we are ready to do week4 but the past 3 weeks is sitting there. To cancel those 3 is a pain and does not always work out right. It would be good to have a cancel option with the variance showing as "Missed PM Due to ..."

Can you complete them and put "back log PM, no longer applicable" in the comments?

Yes you also have to remember to put the next line on hold if you no longer want the PM at all.

Problem was identified that has cancelled PMs re-populating. ATS uses the below process to cancel a PM which is overly complicated and time consuming.

When we click cancel a task or work order, it should not regenerate. In the meantime, the cancel button in the portal should be removed as it only adds additional work in the client. Please update the process to actually cancel the order and not regenerate during the same period. This would delights the user (internal customers) and allow us to focus our efforts and value added activities for our customers. This also puts EFP one step closer to the performance of a standard market-based CMMS system.

We should be able to cancel PM with a comment that a newer PM has generated and this one is missed. With the reason for Variance also as a tie in. I hear so many issues with cancelling a PM. There should be a way to trigger based off proper variance so that it is reflected against data.

Michelle yes i could do that but what i am canceling goes back a few months and have more then one plus the next two or three coming due already generated so I would have to cancel all that there plus delete the ones that are scheduled to generate so I will not get more duplicates when the new date starts generating. I am finding it easier once i get the PM i want canceled to just delete the new scheduled generation of the PM I just canceled, but like everything else it is slow process and one at a time.
