Need 3 Year PM Frequency in eFP 3.0
Pressurized vessels need to have safety relief valves replaced every 3 years (per industry standard and state inspector recommendation). We do not have the ability to create 3 year PMs at this time in eFP 3.0. This needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Thank you.
Deb,
We currently have a three-year PM frequency in the system. You will want to use the Schedule Rule of TRIANNUAL, which will make your PM due every three calendar years.

It will depend a lot on the procedures the sites have in safety relief valves replaced on the pressure vessels. The ISO 17025 which is in "compliance in calibration" tells you that you should not put an expiration date, but it is always recommended if the life of the valve is 3 years that at least the valve is changed twice during its useful life. This will also depend on the type of fluid that runs through the vessels (ammonia, boilers vs water, air). As I mentioned before it will depend on the procedure the sites have documented, at least here in Mexico

Depending on state law, safety relief valves should at least be inspected every year too. For now I would make it an annual PM as an inspection. Take note of when it was last replaced on the PM so that technicians know when next to replace the valve.
But yes, I agree there should be a 3 year triggering value for PMs in efp3.0. There is a 3 year option for our customer's CMMS at our site.
