We have looked at this in the past and it quickly becomes a challenging solution to do this without normalizing the parts information (name, attributes), avoiding refill to target, managing min/max and so on. Without that info, it is hard to then correlate that information to provide any more value to the supply chain. If you are looking for more of a short term solution I would look towards merging some of the eFP work order data with a consumption report the third part system could potentially provide. If the system is capable of storing our WO number (or we store their PO) as part of the part order process. It would then become a much easier process to combine that data together (PowerBI) into more meaningful information. You could then probably produce a report that shows consumption and filter by equipment, sub-location, team, etc. If you can provide any more details around the use case, we would be happy to explore more options!
