Tech Portal: Assigning Tasks.
When creating a new work order in the eFactory Pro 3.0 Portal, we need to be able to assign the task at that time. This function needs to be accessible to all members and not just the Planner/Scheduler. Requesting all member be given the ability to assign work orders.

Hey Thomas, following our Work Execution Management processes we want all work to be validated/approved before work requests can be assigned to technicians. This means the work is assigned the correct priority on the front end.
If the task needs to be completed today, it is given a Priority 1 task and can be assigned via the Daily Scheduling view. The same thing can happen with a Priority 2 task.
If the work need to be planned and scheduled, the priority is set to 3 - 5 such that the task can follow the planning and weekly scheduling processes.
The goal behind not allowing tasks to be immediately assigned on the front end is to reduce the work that is breaking our weekly schedules. If you have any additional questions please feel free to reach out. Thanks!
