Print WO/TASK with Parts Used and Part Needs
When a tech, planner, or SCS prints a WO/Task it should have the parts used and the part needs listed. This will help when kitting or staging parts that are just received in or ready to be installed.

Part need issues, Location issues with Fastest lead time and custom
When adding a part to a task the two options for Fastest Lead Time and Custom create more issue than it actually helps. It defaults to Location ATS when most sites are location Customer. It should not allow them to select ATS or Customer based on the contract type. IT will also create bad stock records under the wrong location. Finally, it will generate a REQ to order under that wrong location which the SCS or Buyer may not catch. This cause billing and inventory issues.

Work module part search is not looking for manufacturer part number which is what we typically use.
When we search for a part using the manufacturer number it comes back with no results. Also if we use a dash it will come back with all the site parts.

Feedback status notification to the initiator
Feedback status notification to the initiator. Currently when an employee or customer provides feedback to the planner; no status results are sent to the initiator. So they have no clue if their feedback was rejected or approved. Especially rejected, should come with an explanation or comment.

Create a condition in Event Monitor for 'Task Status'
We can currently create a condition to notify when a WO status changes, but not a task status change. This could notify that a new part need was created (status on the task changes from 'new' to 'hold/waiting on materials'). This could alert the SCS or crib attendant to begin kitting for that WO, so the parts are already ready when the tech comes to get the parts.

Period Capacity Export Planned Hours Format
Reformat the Period Capacity export planned duration hours column to be in a Decimal Point Number format instead of the current format of 0 HRS 38 MIN. The current format has to be converted every time someone exports it to Excel then they have to manually do the conversions.

MERGE W/O TOGETHER
I WORKED AT A PLACE WHERE IF YOU HAD DUPLICATE W/O "S FOR THE SAME ISSUE. WE THEN COULD MERGE BOTH W/O'S TOGETHER. IT WAS A MERGE BUTTON ON THE SCREEN THAT WE COULD HIT AFTER SELECTING 2 W/O'S WITH A CHECK MARK NEXT TO THEM. THEN IT ASKED US WHICH WORK ORDER TO KEEP AND WHICH ONE TO MERGE TO THE KEPT ONE. MADE THINGS EASIER. ATLEAST GIVE THIS TO THE PLANNER/SCHEDULER

Determine type of job by work order on the review tab
If we can add type of job performed by work order as for example: Electric, Mechanic, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electronic, Lubrication, Coolant. We can determine Downtime & MTTR due to each of these, by plant, area, or technician. With this we can understand development needs by plant, area or technician, so we can set the trainings needed for our people and also track its effectiveness on each specific case
12 votesGreat suggestion! There is projects currently in place to tackle this exact issue. We are redefining the skills and skillsets for technicians, equipment, and for job requirements. These 3 will work together to specify development requirements for technicians and provide us with skillset requirements based on equipment requirements.

Parts search and adding
Adding parts to a work order is to complicated. It is taking technicians double the time to find the part in the system and then add it to the work order. I like what was added as far as the advanced filtering capabilities goes but that should be a separate option. Having the search default to the BOM of the equipment is not helpful since not every item you work on has an asset id. We need a basic search capability like we had before with my site stock and that would satisfy 90% of all technician parts needs.

Period capacity canceling task selection
Allow canceling tasks within the scheduling portal period capacity screen. Being able to select / check multiple tasks would drastically reduce time and bandwidth requirements.
